a bit about me
I am a 24 year-old from Wichita, KS with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies (production focus) at the University of Kansas. As an undergraduate student, I worked as an editor and production assistant on a music video for local artist, Kat King and I currently work as an Eco Representative for Earth Angel on a variety of sets. I find myself most excited by creative and multidisciplinary approaches to filmmaking as well as adapting older, more traditional processes to work for the newer landscape. My hope is to continue to learn about the field in a more dynamic and direct environment as I enter and explore the different areas of the film industry.
I’m currently looking to gain further educational experience with a Master’s programme focusing on programming and archiving so I can expand my skill set and pursue work in the area of film festivals. As I'm at the beginning of my career, I'm approaching new paths with open-mindedness. I know there are a wide array of opportunities within the industry I can position myself in and I'd love to see what I'm best suited for. I strongly believe in incorporating my experience with sustainability into my future work as promoting environmentalism and sustainable infrastructures is a necessary measure to ensure a thriving future for media, its creators, and its viewers.
